WHAT’S NEW IN EASY PLAN 5.2 IN TEAMCENTER?

We continue to work closely with our customers to enhance Easy Plan in order to improve productivity and extend capabilities across the entire manufacturing business process. The latest Easy Plan 5.2 update includes enhancements for both Manufacturing BOM and Process Plan Management.

The Manufacturing BOM update includes new capabilities in Easy Plan that allow users to easily validate the effective scope of the Manufacturing BOM for dash roll scenarios. Intuitive color-coded indicators make it easy to understand conflicts and resolve them during effectivity validation, as shown in the image below.

Easy Plan now also supports additional Manufacturing BOM contexts, enabling work within smaller scopes when dealing with large BOM structures. Users can also search for parts in EBOM and MBOM, reuse existing manufacturing representations in MBOM, configure EBOM and MBOM structures, and more.

In Easy Plan Process Planning, new capabilities are available to visualize BOM & BOP, enhance classic BOP-based planning, manage end-item changes based on Manufacturing Change Notices (MCN), improve usability of high-level BOP breakdown tasks, and support planning for Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) of assemblies.
